  • We are happy to announce that we have re-acquired the .com version of our domain name, which hasn't been available since 2019. The Internet is full of squatters that buy up domain names that expire and then try to sell them back for $$$, which is what happened to us since we didn't have direct control over it back then. We have now waited them out (6 yrs!), and have been able to get it back!

    This is something that works in addition to the existing website, so nothing has to change if you want to continue using the .org site and e-mail.

  • The topsy-turvy world of audio manufacturers continues to surprise with audiophile baddy Bose buying legendary but out-of-touch McIntosh. While used McIntosh gear holds its value quite well, new products haven't been generating much new sales or attention. This acquisition seems to be about getting the IP to sell the brand in cars, rather than some sort of reckoning to the big system boutique sales. That is, the name was more valuable than the company and allows Bose to sell in more markets. Ho-Hum.

    My favorite horns were the small Stein Music, Acapella, and Odeon.

  • § No matter who it's for Victor, I enjoyed it. Funny if I forget a name I usually remember the equipment. Recognize the Klipschorns, always a good sound with tubes. I never heard the horns from Avantgarde. If anybody in the club has them I'd love to hear them.
