About Us The New Jersey Audio Society was established in the 1980s as a group interested in high performance audio playback. We encourage and welcome anyone interested in high performance playback systems from 78's to DXD/8xDSD to join and participate through active membership. Annual dues are currently $60. Membership includes a subscription to The Source, the publication of the New Jersey Audio Society, and invitations to attend meetings as well as to communicate through the submission of material or letters for publication in the newsletter and participate in our newsgroup site on the web.

We try to vary our meeting content among product demonstrations, music, instructional meetings (tweaks, room treatments, DIY, etc.) and just plain hanging out and listening to music on members’ systems. As examples, we have had demonstrations by manufacturers of high-end audio equipment, visits by recording engineers (including playback and mixing of master tapes), special meetings at dealers’ facilities, component and speaker builder meetings where some members who build speakers and electronic components have discussed and shown their designs, meetings dedicated to demonstrations of and discussions relating to vintage audio equipment, and demonstrations from professional musicians of their instruments and discussions of recordings of the great performers on those instruments. We also have annual summer picnic and year-end holiday party meetings.

Meeting Comments
Very impressive. I would love to spend the entire day there.
Very good meeting. Warm and welcoming people. Interesting stories. I was especially impresed with straing gauge cartridge, which I've heard for the first time.
Fantastic.....
Rare behind-the-scenes look at an audio legend.
Great Time.
Very interesting history of VPI and tour. Great meeting overall!
very informative & enjoyable
WOW! This is the stuff of analog dreams. Thank you VPI for a superlative experience.
Another stellar NJAS meeting! VPI (Harry and Matt) were great hosts and very generous of their time and showing of their equipment. I did not mean to leave out Steve (VAS). He was a surprise and the tube electronics were terrific. I forgot to add that I can't believe we did not get a picture of Harry's real toy - his Aston Martin DB9!
Very interesting meeting! Fun to meet the owners.
Excellent meeting. Harry is a wealth of information and someone well worth supporting in this industry, and it was nice to see Steve Leung and his offerings again as well.
A fun meeting with lots of great eye candy (tube amps & turntables) to ogle over.
Fun time, nice gear and some sweet tunes
An interesting meeting --
Fabulous! A meeting in a NJ warehouse full of gear from VPI (!) and Cayin etc, with commentary and questions of the highest audiophile order. Paradise! GDW
